In 2017 Hochkönig Lodge was enjoyed for the first time by our guests. Just before Christmas 2018 she was joined by Luchs Lodge. Both Lodges where we had only one thing on our mind when designing them; it should be a place where you’d always want to come back.
A place where you can bring your family and friends and experience the amazing ski and hiking area of Hochkönig and Ski Amadé. Enjoy the private sauna, relax in the big living or have a nap in your king-size bed.

Hochkönig
The area surrounding the majestic Hochkönig Massiv (2941 m) has three main villages; Mühlbach am Hochkönig, Dienten and Maria Alm. It is a true all year round destination, with loads of activities in summer and amazing skiing and other snowsports in winter.
The climate in summer is pleasant; lots of time to enjoy sunshine, 25 c temperatures and nature, whereas a refreshing thunderstorm passed by every now and then. In winter the Hochkönig really has its own microclimate, where especially Mühlbach gets loads of snow due to its position relative to the massif. Snowy weather is trapped here and therefore Mühlbach receives significantly more snow than surrounding areas.

About us
Both of us have been coming to the Alps ever since we were little kids. When we met it was one of the things we could talk about for hours. The amazing times we had with our families, both in summer and winter.
This is where we started dreaming about having a chalet in the Alps one day and fortunately we are lucky enough to be able to realize this dream!
We live abroad, so it will be the perfect meeting place for us with our friends from back home. Apart from that, we really wanted to build something that could be enjoyed by other people as well and share the love we have for the Alps!
It’s Easy to Find Us
The Lodge is located in the Salzburger Land area, the village of Mühlbach am Hochkönig. It is part of the Ski Amadé area, offering 760 km of slopes, so if you’re a beginner or a crack, you will always find the right challenge!
